Architecture is at the core of housebrand. Through our many years of practice we developed the Slow Home principles of design and believe that a well designed house should be both simple to live in and light on the environment. We work closely with our clients to ensure that their home is designed to fit the way that they actually live and not just for show. We have built our practice on the idea that good design is the design you don’t notice, design that makes your day-to-day activities more seamless and enjoyable.

At housebrand, our architectural services are available to everyone. We work at a variety of budgets and scales from interior remodels and additions to entirely new homes. Our innovative model of practice has garnered us the RAIC Award of Excellence for Innovation in Professional Practice as well as the Residential Architect Rising Star Award.

Our architectural services are provided by John Brown, a registered architect in Alberta (incorporated as John Brown Architect Ltd.)
